Customer Rating: Summary: Mobile Me Not For Everyone Comment: As a long-time Mac user, the one Apple product I have stayed away from is .mac and its successor MobileMe. Why? Because if you want email only, there are better and cheaper alternatives (try Gmail). However, I recently ran into need for two killer features that made this service worthwhile: seamlessly publishing my calendar for colleagues to see and iDisk file sharing. Now there are alternatives to accomplish both of these things on the Net, but they require some geekiness. With MobileMe, I simply said publish my calendar and there it was. Same simplicity for file sharing. Is it worth $x (retail price is $99, but I paid under $50)? It was for me. Four stars for functionality and integration into the Mac OS. Lose a star for high-price...
Customer Rating: Summary: works for me Comment: I see lots of complaints on these and other boards. I have used this service since it's inception. Sure there are some bugs and annoyances. But it does the basic job.
I have two desktops, one laptop and an ipod touch all synced with MobileMe. (Though I do hate that name.) Any change on any one device automatically gets sent to all other devices.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great mobile data solution Comment: I never had .Mac but recently decided to purchase MobileMe because I now own an iPhone and have 2 macs at home. The idea of being able to have consistent records on all 3 devices is priceless and everything works as advertised so far.
Customer Rating: Summary: MobileMe by Apple Comment: I have been a user of .Mac and now MobilMe for several years and am very happy with it. I highly recommend it. The yearly renewal cost is significantly lower if bought from Amazon rather than Apple.
Customer Rating: Summary: Ughh, there are way too many apple apologists out there Comment: I'm a long time .Mac and now Mobile Me user. It's insane how much slack people give Apple (but jump all over MSFT).
Perhaps some of the bugs have been ironed out, but the web mail client is still terrible. It's incredibly slow and behaves badly in Firefox. I love my Macbook Pro, but refuse to give apple another dime for this service. The free months are being used to migrate away.

Imagine running beautifully designed, easy-to-use Apple applications on your PC. At me.com, you can check your email, manage your contacts and calendar, share photos, and store documents. The applications are so intuitive and clutter free that me.com could become your new desktop. On a PC, MobileMe works seamlessly with the applications you use every day. You can use Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Contacts on XP or Vista. MobileMe automatically pushes your email, contacts, and calendars ? and even your Safari or Internet Explorer bookmarks ? to your other computers, iPhone, and iPod touch. If you have more than one PC, use MobileMe to keep email, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks the same on all of them. If you have a Mac and a PC, they can share the same information. MobileMe will keep your computers, iPhone, and iPod touch in sync and up to date. Do everything you need to do on every device you own. MobileMe works with Mail, Address Book, and iCal on a Mac; Microsoft Outlook on a PC with Windows XP or Vista; and the built-in applications on your iPhone or iPod touch.
