Customer Rating: Summary: Incompatible with iPhone 3g Comment: I was disappointed to find that this does not work with the iPhone 3G. I will do my homework a little better next time because this company does not give the full money back, they charge a 25% restocking fee.
Customer Rating: Summary: Work well with iPhone and transmitter Comment: I use this with the Sony Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter for iPod (Black). Works well in that I am able to both make calls and listen to the iPod. Calls come in only on the left ear (no choice there), but it's not so different than using a one-ear headset. The quality of sound is pretty solid, and it's relatively comfortable.
Customer Rating: Summary: 12 Months Comment: After using this headset for a year I am still impressed at the quality of nearly each aspect of this headset. I grabbed it on sale in town and paired it with a Moto Q and have since switched to a HTC Touch.
As expected the Q pairing was flawless with wonderful execution in MS VoiceSignal as well as various A/V apps this headset also provides seamless voice quality in call. I am still able to hold more than 4 hours of conversation between charge and standby puts the device into powersave mode if out of range of the handset or when unused further saving battery. Charge time is short and I am grateful for the standard mini USB plug. Fit is appropriate for a device targeted at more than just driving or casual use. Pairing with an HTC device was simple initially and as easy as making sure bluetooth was on at the phone and the device was powered on usually. Only occasionally would I have to access menus to quickly enable bluetooth headset use. Range is the best I have tried with A2DP having even better range than calls in connection.
The minor complaints are really situational such as when wearing glasses, which causes some fatigue without adjustment. This is no more or less the case with any of the most popular headsets available for only voice calls and I can't find a stereo A2DP headset that even compares. I have also been unable to locate my handset when in a lengthy call as I can roam my 1500 sq ft home without realising I don't have my phone on me in call. As these aren't snug in-ear headphones like a set from Shure, windy situations like a bike ride make audio sound slightly distant, albeit more aware of the road. And most noticeable is the mono call audio. The mic resides on the right side so calls are heard through only the left ear. Big whoop. If the largest part of the device (antenna) touches my neck I have experienced some static in call and loss of streaming audio when greater than 20 feet from the phone.
Motorola does a fantastic job with bluetooth in this case and I can absolutely recommend this pair for someone looking for as few devices as possible while not compromising features and quality. This headset has seen lots of use and continues to work greater than expected each time.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bluetooth headset Comment: Great product. Sound is fantastic and range from my phone is impressive. Would like to see a little revision for over the ear piece. Sometimes slips and the earpiece comes away from my ear.
Would recommend.
Customer Rating: Summary: iPhone Not!!! Come Apple, Open up Comment: Motorola MOTOROKR S9 Bluetooth Stereo HeadphonesMotorola S9 Stereo Bluetooth Headset [Bulk Packaged]Motorola MOTOROKR S9 Bluetooth Active Headphones [Motorola Retail Packaging]I actually think this product is pretty good. Great design--eye candy. Good fit. Too bad Apple is so non compatible with lots of devices. The set does not work with iPhone for music or pod cast, etc. I'm told that it will work with an adaptor--well I don't want an adaptor, another gadget I have to drag with me? I'm also told that it will work for phone calls, but who cares.
I just got mine the other day and I now I have to return it. This is costing me money with zero reward.
For iPhone, i rate this a zero. But that is not Motorola's fault. The device actually is well designed, light, and no cord to get tangled into while riding my bike or walking through the mall or getting in and out of the car.
S9--I rate it a four on design and comfort. I rate Apple, a zero on compatibility.
Apple, get it together. Please.
