Customer Rating: Summary: oil changer Comment: This unit does the job of removing oil from a boat motor. After building up the vacuum, it draws the oil out. Just leave it and go; return and the chamber is full. I have used the small electric pump, which needs to be primed and was too weak to raise the oil out, and another suction unit that failed after one use when the seals failed. This one is the best.
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't Wait, Buy a Moeller Oil Extractor NOW. Comment: Before purchasing the Moeller oil extractor I had been using smaller, hand-held brass oil pumps for 10 years and always dreaded changing my small marine diesel engine's oil. With the hand-held pumps it was difficult to keep the extractor tube in the oil since one hand is needed to keep the tube in the oil and two to operate the pump . . . when the tube came out of the oil pan, oil was dripped everywhere. But with the Moeller oil extractor the operation easy, every bit of oil was extracted and there was no mess. I should have purchased a Moeller years ago!
Customer Rating: Summary: No suction for me Comment: I tried and tried to get suction and could not. I duck-taped the hose connections with no results. This product just does not work for me. . .
Customer Rating: Summary: Pump works well with easy cleanup Comment: The pump worked really well. I used it to to change the oil in my lawnmower and a Toyota Tacoma truck (which also has a top mounted oil filter). For the truck I did need to place the extractor on a table next to the truck to get the tubes to reach. Also, 4-liters is not very big. I had to pour some of the used oil into a secondary container (the riding lawnmower takes one quart, the truck takes 5 quarts). No problems with leaks and cleanup was much easier the with a drainpan oil change.
Customer Rating: Summary: AAA #1 Comment: This has to be the best on the market, so simple to use & only takes a few pumps. Whom ever thought of this is a Genius. Worth every penny, and shipping, what can I say, Faster then you could believe.
