Customer Rating: Summary: tasty, but poor shipping Comment: I was surprised that it appeared that the company just tossed them in a box. No packing slip, no receipt, no thank you, just oranges. Very odd.
They tasted good. About 5 had to be thrown out because of mold.
Customer Rating: Summary: Magnificent Mandarins Comment: We were very pleased with everything to do with this order. Shipping was speedy and the mandarins were delicious and in great shape. I will be ordering them again soon!
Customer Rating: Summary: great fruit; punishing stevedors; Comment: The shipping company ruined 50#s of satsumas.
Couldn't give one of the 5-10# boxes away as gifts because the boxes were smashed and wet with tangerine juice.
I am not buying from them again.

Every year we bring in these womnderful Satsuma Mandarin Oranges from the farm of Frank Aguilar in Newcastle, California. Newcastle sits at about 1,000 feet in elevation at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains east of Sacramento. The Satsuma mandarin was introduced to Placer County in the 1880's when Welsh settlers established the town of Penryn. Since 1950 Frank Aguilar has been tending the orchards of his ranch. Satsuma mandarins are seedless high in Vitamin C, juicy slighty tart and sweet.
We recommend expedited shipping to avoid freezing while in transit long distances or to avoid weather related delays. We are not responsible for spoilage due to weather or naturally occurring conditions. Expedited Shipping is highly recommended, these are shipped ripe, Taylor's Market will not be responsible for fruit arriving spoiled if an expedited shipping method is not chosen.
