Summary: It gives me a warm feeling all over
Comment: Consumer Reports recommended this particular heater. (I've always depended on the kindness of Consumer Reports.) This is where I found the best retail price, and I got quick delivery of an undamaged good-looking unit. It's still too early to make a good judgment about how economical it is, but I've noticed that the oil furnace doesn't start up nearly as often as last year...and that was my plan.

Comment: This is a great little heater. Since there is no fan, it is completely quiet. I had my doubts about heating the room without a fan, but no more: It heats up quickly and does a great job of keeping the room toasty!

Comment: I turned this on and it worked for a few hours then the room became cold and it never worked again. Not pleased with product. I am usually pleased by DeLonghi products; this one failed.

Summary: Customer service terrible
Comment: I read several reviews that described 1) poor customer service and 2) sparks and in 1 case flames coming out of the heater, so before purchasing this product, I called customer service myself. I spoke to a woman and asked about sparks. She said it normally sparks only when it turns on or off and hasn't heard of any problems but pointed out that there are several other operators there. I asked her to check with a supervisor. She did and he said that there have been a few problems with sparking and if this happens, the unit can be returned. She denied that there have been any fires or flames from the units. I asked her to put the supervisor on the phone so I could speak directly with him. She was short with me and said he was on another call. I told her there have been many reviews written about poor customer service with her company and that this phone call confirms that. I explained that I will be writing a review about this phone call and it would benefit her company to put the supervisor on the phone. She would not cooperate and the exchange became heated so I hung up the phone.

Summary: This heater amazed me!!
Comment: I live in a ranch condo that is built on a slab. Because of this, the condo got so cold last winter that I was miserable. This Fall, I purchased two of these DeLonghi HHP 1500 Mica Panel Radiators, and they make me feel so warm, even walking on my laminate floors. They are perfectly safe and very easy to move around. as they come on wheels. They provide just the amount of heat I need. Therefore, I highly recommend this item for anyone looking for additional heat in their home. It was so worth the price.
