Comment: I highly recommend this item. It keeps my lunch hot all day.
Very easy to clean. No leakage.
Just a caution though... this thermos works so well that if it's boiling hot when you put it in, it will still be boiling hot 8 hours later. And it does not cool down quickly, even with the lid off. I started putting my food in at the temperature I wanted to eat it and everything was fine.

Summary: Terrific food jar!
Comment: I received this item as a gift and today is the first chance I got to try it "in the field". I am very happy with it as it has met all my expectations. It:
- completely holds a 10oz can of condensed soup(with water)
- keeps food hot. After 9 hours, I wouldn't say my soup was "piping"
hot, but it was hot enough that I did _not_ have to put it in
the microwave.
- does not leak. It was on its side for those 9 hours.
- has a wide mouth. Made cleaning it easier. Also, with the wide mouth,
I would expect you could eat directly from the jar (rather than pouring
into the lid first).
Soup is the staple of my lunch, but I am anxious to try the jar with other foods as well.

Summary: Somewhat disappointed
Comment: I have had this jar for a week. I follow the directions....boiling hot water inside the jar for 5 mins then I immediately add the piping hot food. Five to six hours later it is warm at best. Maybe I expected more based on the rave reviews on this site. I am a bit disappointed in it.....if I waited another hour it would be lukewarm. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

Summary: the best I've found
Comment: I use this food jar to take hot food to work for lunch. When I preheat the jar with very hot water and fill it completely with well heated food, it is usually still steaming when I open it about 4-5 hours later. I have to blow on my food to cool it off! I like the sturdy metal construction and the nice wide mouth... and for me the size is just perfect (some other food containers are a bit on the small side).

Comment: I bought two of these for my kids lunches. They love soup and it stays hot when it's time for them to eat it. It has a great design and the handle is nice to have when you are not using any kind of lunch bag as well. Very pleased. We recently bought the 17oz red ones too.
A great buy.
