They were very reasonably priced especially with the price of gasoline. Customer Rating: Summary: Works great Comment: We have bad water that can turn these filters into nasty colors quickly, but it seems to me that means its doing its job. We have gone through over 20 of these in our baby's room over the last couple years and have not experienced any of the odor issues mentioned in the prior review. What came with the orginal humidifer was made out of paper. Customer Rating: Summary: Bad Idea Comment: I got the filter for the humidifier I also just bought. Upon placing the filter in and turning the unit on, a strong odor filled the room. I had to open the windows to air the room out because I didn't think inhaling the smell was a good idea. Being that it was for my bird's room, I feel sure that it would result in him getting sick or worse. I believe the problem lies in the Protec antimicrobial treatment.
