Comment: We got it as a replacement smoke detector for our wired system. These work great. I tested it with a match and we've also had a cooking incedent that confirmed that the smoke detector works. It is certainly reliable.

Comment: I didn't realize these things just stop working 10 years after mfg. both of mine Quit!! I needed 2 in a hurry. Researched on line and ordered 2 on line for next day delivery got them next day and installed them they fit the same holes. Thees were made last year. I checked locally. They don't publish mfg. date you really have to look. Most were 2 OR 3 years old, or older and cost a lot more money. Thees 2 with next day delivery and newer were still cheaper than local.

Comment: These are easy to install (So are the rest though) and promise a battery free lifetime. I have 10 of these in my house and have had to replace all but 1 - and they were just installed < 4years ago.

Comment: One of the smoke detectors in my office died and I needed a replacement. This unit had a good price and I liked the idea of not having to change batteries all the time (twice a year). Got fast shipping and installation was easy. Would buy again.

Comment: This smoke alarm was very easy to install. It went off a couple times while I was cooking, so I know it works! The hush button is great for when that happens. And best of all, no more low battery beeps and buying batteries. So far, so good!
