Summary: A Life Defining Viewing Experience...Unforgettable after 42 years!
Comment: Like many, I first viewed this film at about 12 years of age. My family converted to Catholicism about that time and I was enthralled by the beauty and mystery of the Catholic Church. I vividly remember Teresa watching her gallant soldier ride off while behind the gates of the convent. Years and years went by and occasionally I would think about this movie...and ruminate...I know how Teresa feels, torn between Divine Love and Human Love. I finally found it again...in 1995, purchased it and have watched it to the point that it is not watchable anymore! I long to see it come out in DVD. It is a story about divine love, sacrificial love and passion for living. One of the best and for me, a film filled with resonance and its own form of glory.

Comment: It is truly a shame that this film is not available on DVD in this age of technology! Furthermore...[.....]..ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I already have a copy on VHS and I bought it brand new...and no...it did not cost anywhere near [.....]. That is a total rip off. The movie is entertaining, but it's not that good and most people have never heard of it. Why the scandalous greed when it comes to selling a copy of a VHS? I am just going to have my copy transferred to DVD and I will sell them for [.....] bucks a whop. I'm an incurable romantic and a Catholic and that is why this movie appealed to me. Believe me...it's no great drama, but if you are a romantic like myself, you will enjoy it very much.

Summary: Why this film is not restored and reproduced on DVD yet?
Comment: I've seen this movie when I was about 15 in Korea and it's been re-released in Korea during 1987 again but the quality of the film was
so bad plus the size of screen was changed to 4:3 instead of the original
size Anamorphic ( 2.7 : 1 ). absolutely disappointing - So even I still
waiting for the copy on DVD with a great hope but I wonder if the original
negative film might have damaged alot or lost.
I do hope it will be restored and reproduced on DVD soon.as many other
reviewers here

Comment: This is definitely a 5 star film. Why has it not been released on DVD. I saw it when I was a little girl and loved it. I have it on VHS but want to purchase a DVD version for use in the USA.
Is there any way to request the film company to release this as a DVD. One of Roger Moore's best films.
